Cannabis is not addictive in the way that you consider most addictive drugs, with withdrawal symptoms and a chemical dependence. However, cannabis, like anything can have a psychological dependence much like gambling or eating. We believe intervals without cannabis use can be beneficial at times to reset the endocannabinoid system and lower the individual’s tolerance to cannabis. This allows the body to respond more to future cannabis use and can actually allow the user to use less cannabis while achieving greater effects!
